United Theological College’s Master of Theology Course in Sydney – Parramatta, accredited through Charles Sturt University, offers depth and breadth in theological education with Bible Study electives among others. It provides advanced critical knowledge and skills in the theological disciplines, and their application to contemporary society and church

The Master of Theology builds on previous theological study to develop an in-depth understanding of major issues in contemporary theology. Students will emerge from the program with a sound knowledge base, well-honed critical skills, and a facility in theological methodologies.They will develop an advanced knowledge of at least one major theological sub-discipline. This course provides a pathway to research higher degree studies in theology.

The UTC Master of Theology course consists of two 16 point subjects taken from offerings in Biblical Studies, Church History, Liturgy, Systematic Theology, Public Theology with further study in either Coursework or Research required, a total of 96 credit points is needed for Graduation.

Option 1 is Coursework, this include THL501 Guided Research plus 3 Restricted Electives. Option 2 is Research, this includes one subject chosen from the Restricted Electives plus THL514 Hermeneutics and THL650 Theology Masters Coursework Dissertation.

At CSU you are guided by highly qualified lecturers working from their own research interests. The library resources are extensive, accessible and comprehensive. Areas of study range across advanced subjects in Biblical Exegesis, Church History, Liturgy, Public Theology, Ecotheology and Systematic Theology.
