St Andrew's Chapel

The Chapel of St Andrews lies at the heart of college life. The chapel's striking location means that the eyeline naturally gravitates towards its interplay of colour, light, and Christian symbolism.

During teaching semesters, a service of Word and Sacrament is held at 9.30 am each Wednesday, and a service of the Word is held at 12.20 pm each Friday. Daily prayer is held at 12.20 pm on all other weekdays. Visitors are always welcome to join us for these worship services.

Worship is at the heart of everything we do at UTC. In worship:

  • we celebrate and beckon God’s presence in our midst, in one another, in our world;
  • we open our lives to the gifts of word and sacrament which nourish the Christian people;
  • we learn the practices of worship that sustain the Uniting Church in Australia;
  • we encounter one another’s distinctive cultures, traditions and gifts.

We recognise with thanksgiving that our times of worship are opportunities for engagement with the God who is sought, thought about, read about, talked about, glimpsed, wrestled with, discerned, heard and praised in theological study.
