Chris has worked as a Minister of the Word at Jannali Parish, Regional Education and Mission Officer for South Moreton Presbytery and the Department for Mission and Parish Services Queensland Synod as well as a Mission Unit Leader and Consultant for Evangelism and Discipleship.

From 1997 – 2001 Chris was the Principal at Parkin-Wesley College in South Australia and Lecturer in Theology and Mission, he was also a Mission Resource Officer in Parramatta-Nepean Presbytery from 2001 – 2008 for Uniting Church NSW Synod and at the moment is a National Consultant: Christian Unity, Doctrine and Worship for the Assembly (Represented the Uniting Church at the World Council of Churches Assembly in Busan, South Korea in 2013).
