Rev Dr Peter Davis is a minister of the Uniting Church in Australia and a graduate of the University of Sydney, Moore Theological College, Charles Sturt University and the Sydney College of Divinity. His doctoral thesis is entitled ‘Preaching in a new age of mission: case studies in preaching after Christendom’. He is currently completing a Master of Professional Education and Training degree through Deakin University focusing on eLearning and Distance Education.

Peter has worked as Lecturer in Practice of Ministry (3 days p.w.) at Wesley Institute since 2006. Prior to this he served congregations at Lismore Regional Mission (1987-1989) and Pittwater UC (1990-2006). He currently works part-time (2 days p.w.) in long-term supply ministry at Lindfield (Tryon Rd) UC.

Peter has been President of the Australasian Academy of Homiletics since its formation in 2000. He is also a member of the Academy of Homiletics, the Evangelical Homiletics Society and Societas Homiletica. He is regularly involved in running continuing education workshops for both ministers and lay preachers.

Peter is married to Jennifer. His interests include reading, soccer, music, creative writing and bush walking.
