Application Process (for International Students)
Australian Government regulations stipulate additional requirements for overseas students entering an accredited course of study in Australia. In addition to the completed Application Form, overseas students need to provide:
• Statement of course of study to be pursued and reasons for study;
• Full transcript of completed studies;
• Certificate of competence in English; the IELTS Test (Academic English) or equivalent or evidence of previous tertiary studies completed satisfactorily in English;
Minimum requirements are:
6.0 for Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Theology,
6.5 for BTh,
7.0 for MTh (Pass), MA (various), MMin,
7.0 for BTh (Hons), MTh (Hons), DMin, PhD.
• The IELTS score must be the stated level in each category;
• Statement guaranteeing sufficient financial support whilst at United Theological College (travel, tuition, accommodation and living). See DIMIA guidelines available from www.dimia.gov.au;
• Statement of Agreement to return home on completion of studies.
• Evidence of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). OSHC can be paid for at the College as well as at stipulated Medibank Private centres.
Application materials from overseas students should normally be submitted by 1 November for Semester 1 or 1 April for Semester 2.
