Why Choose UTC?
Coming to UTC, you will find yourself in a lively and stimulating theological environment. You'll find a faculty who enjoy the vocation of teaching and research, together with a culturally and ecclesially diverse community of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You can come to UTC as a candidate for a specified ministry of the Uniting Church in Australia, or simply as someone who wants to explore their faith. You can come as a school leaver or as a mature-age student. All are welcome.
UTC seeks to foster commitment to both the academic and the pastoral dimensions of the Christian faith. Theological study is set within a weekly programme that allows for regular participation in worship and in shared meals and conversations.
Subjects at UTC are available in different modes, including possibilities for flexible online learning. Assistance with study skills is available for new students, and the College can also provide expert assistance for students whose first language is not English.
Studying at UTC will expose you to the resources of the Christian tradition and to the best of contemporary Christian scholarship. You will receive a grounding in a range of theological and biblical disciplines. And you'll also have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge methods and topics in contemporary scholarship, such as public theology and cross-cultural theology.
