In 2016 Ali completed her PhD at Macquarie University on the Epistle of Jude under the supervision of Prof. Larry Welborn and Dr. Stephen Llewelyn. Prior to this Ali undertook her Honours (BTh) at Charles Sturt University through St Mark’s Theological College with Prof. John Painter. She also did Theological study at SMBC and Wesley Institute. Ali has a strong interest in the General Epistles, Greco-Roman Rhetoric, Invective, Second Temple Judaism and Biblical Greek. In her current research she is looking at harsh rhetoric in 2 Peter and the Gospel of Matthew. She is also working on a project which will help the general reader engage with the book of Jude.
